Autumnal Splendour by Great British Bash at Brinkburn Northumberland
THE VISION
“We felt it was time to put together a shoot that, amidst the evolving wedding industry, empowers and encourages couples to plan a wedding that reflects their true self. This shoot brought together creative minds from different backgrounds, all of whom had different vision’s on how to portray the magic of autumn at Brinkburn Northumberland. Through our meetings and communications up to the day, we blended the concepts together to craft a striking, autumnal extravaganza shot by Neil Denham.” – Leah Forsyth, Brinkburn Northumberland
INSPIRATION AND STYLING
“We wanted to dress the tipi at Brinkburn northumberland, in full-on Fall splendour, creating a magical space, with an opulent feel, inspired by the sensuous vibe of old floral oil paintings. Our statement flower arrangements and blossom canopy were illuminated with dramatic lighting. The canvas glowed with washes of coloured light from Bride & Groove: bright pops of neon, Coco luminaire were used throughout, for a quirky, contemporary twist.” – Fiona, Great British Bash
TABLESCAPES
“To create an extravagant look, we layered the tables in contrasting textures, luxe fabrics and glassware, in a rich palette of teal, clementine, amethyst and merlot. Luxurious taffeta napkins, in all four colours, were loosely knotted for a plush, yet relaxed vibe. An eclectic mix of gemstone colour glasses added a jewel-like quality to the tables, strewn with a feast of figs, berries and pomegranates. Lofty centrepieces of elegant, cinch waisted, gilt stands, displayed cascading arrangements of full-blown blooms, starring our favourite merlot peonies. Copper leaf charger plates and cutlery added flashes of metallics, picked up by the flickering candlelight to complete the jewel box look.” – Fiona, Great British Bash
FASHION
“Princess wedding dresses are a classic choice for those planning their own fairy-tale wedding. This dress was hand made by a bespoke tailor and designer, Danielle Forsyth, who was trained at the London college of fashion. It has a full satin skirt layered with material to give a bell shape, a tight off the shoulder lace bodice and long lace sleeves which certainly compliments Amelia’s figure. The detailing and shape added to the continuous feeling of opulence which was sharply contrasted with plush forest green fur and black leather, for a modern twist on vintage glamour. Great British Bash created a stunning faux flower crown and bouquet of Fall blooms with pheasant feathers, adding texture to the fashion looks, conceived by Brinkburn. The finishing touch was the make-up. We primarily sought out natural warm tones but later added a pop of colour across the eyes in bold teals and copper tones to compliment the surroundings and generate sparkle.” – Leah Forsyth, Brinkburn Northumberland
THE VENUE
“With a Priory dating back to the 12th century and an abandoned manor house all on the estate, Brinkburn is steeped in history and has provided the perfect place for people to rest, reflect and celebrate for thousands of years. We are now associated with modern, contemporary and luxurious wedding celebrations in tipis which are set to dine for up to 120 people. The tipis are a fast-growing trend, yet no two weddings are ever the same. With the help of our dedicated wedding team, this makes it the perfect space for you to add your own personal touch of magic.” – Leah Forsyth, Brinkburn Northumberland
